Using the Facebook Pixel and the Conversions API
The combination of Conversions API with other Facebook Business Tools allows learning more about how customers connect with the company.
The OpenAI Ads pixel measures what shoppers do on your store after clicking one of your ads in ChatGPT. Once you add your Pixel ID, Jumpseller reports the events below automatically, so you can see which ads lead to sales instead of only clicks.
Sign in to your OpenAI Ads Manager account.
Open the Data Sources tab and select your pixel.
Copy the Pixel ID. It is a short string of letters and numbers, unique to your advertising account.
In your store Admin, navigate to General > Preferences > Analytics Settings.
Paste the value in the OpenAI Ads Pixel ID field.
Click Save.
That is the whole setup. There is no code to paste into your theme: Jumpseller adds the pixel to every storefront page and sends the events for you.
| Event | When it is sent |
|---|---|
page_viewed | On every page of your store |
contents_viewed | When a shopper opens a product page |
items_added | When a shopper adds a product to the cart |
checkout_started | When a shopper reaches the checkout |
order_created | When an order is confirmed, with the order total |
Order and product amounts are sent in your store’s currency.
Nothing is sent until you add a Pixel ID. The pixel is only loaded for stores that have one.
The order event is sent once per order. If a shopper refreshes or returns to the confirmation page, the sale is not counted twice.
Events are not sent from the theme preview. While you are previewing a theme in your Admin, the pixel stays silent so your own browsing does not show up in your ad reports.
It works alongside your other pixels. The OpenAI Ads pixel is independent of the Facebook, TikTok and Google tags, and you can use any combination of them.
Clear the OpenAI Ads Pixel ID field and save. The pixel stops loading on your storefront immediately.
