Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. This image resizer runs entirely in your browser using native Canvas APIs. Your files are never uploaded, never stored, and never seen by anyone. It even works offline once the page has loaded.

How do I convert an image to WebP?

Drop your PNG or JPEG, choose WebP as the output format, set a quality level, and click Resize image. WebP usually cuts file size by 25–50% versus JPEG at the same visual quality, ideal for fast-loading product pages.

What does the aspect-ratio lock do?

When the lock is on, changing the width automatically adjusts the height (and vice-versa) so your image keeps its original proportions and never looks stretched. Turn it off to force an exact width and height.

Can I resize several images at once?

Yes. Switch on Batch mode and drop multiple files. They are all resized and converted with the same settings, and you can download each one individually or grab them all in one click.

Will resizing reduce the quality of my image?

Downscaling uses high-quality resampling, so smaller images stay crisp. For JPEG and WebP you control the trade-off with the quality slider. PNG is always lossless but produces larger files. Avoid upscaling beyond the original dimensions, which can look soft.

What image formats are supported?

You can open PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF and AVIF (anything your browser can decode) and export to WebP, JPEG or PNG. Animated GIFs are flattened to a single frame.
